Story
Ethiopian coffee is usually pooled from many smallholders at the washing-station level. This is a single-producer lot from Bekele Kachara, who has farmed near Bensa Murago for over 20 years on a 4.5-hectare family farm. Growing Ethiopian heirloom varieties, he manages every step — organic compost, shaded drying beds, harvest, drying and sorting — with great care. A lot built from one farm's cherries offers high traceability and reflects the producer's philosophy. Fermented anaerobically for 96 hours and then natural-processed, it layers vivid tropical-fruit character over the floral profile typical of high-altitude Ethiopia.
